gunadoshav anishchitya tyaktva daivavyapashrayam
karishyam-eeti yah karyam upekshet sa naradhamah
गुणदोषावनिश्चित्य त्यक्त्वा दैवव्यपाश्रयम्।
करिष्यामीति यः कार्यमुपेक्षेत्स नराधमः॥
One who doesn't weigh the pros and cons, ignores what is beyond his control, and says 'I will do it' but then neglects the task, is the lowest kind of person.
