abraveech cha tada ramam bharatah sa kritanjalih
etat te rakshitam rajan rajyam niryatitam maya
अब्रवीच्च तदा रामं भरतः स कृताञ्जलिः।
एतत्ते रक्षितं राजन्राज्यं निर्यातितं मया॥
With folded hands Bharata said to Rama: O king, here is your kingdom, which I have kept safe. I now hand it back to you.

हाथ जोड़कर भरत ने राम से कहा: हे राजन, यह आपका राज्य है, जिसकी मैंने रक्षा की। अब मैं इसे आपको लौटाता हूँ।
भरत वह राज्य लौटाते हैं जिसे वे आसानी से रख सकते थे। जो अमानत मिली हो, उसे पूरी ईमानदारी और ख़ुशी से लौटाना सबसे दुर्लभ सच्चाई है।
