mama hetoh parakranta ye gata yamasadanam
te sarve jeevitam prapya samuttishthantu vanarah
मम हेतोः पराक्रान्ता ये गता यमसादनम्।
ते सर्वे जीवितं प्राप्य समुत्तिष्ठन्तु वानराः॥
All the monkeys who fought bravely for my sake and went to the land of death, may they all regain life and rise up again.
What it means
Offered a boon by Indra, Rama asks nothing for himself, only that his fallen companions live again. A good leader remembers who paid the price for the victory.हिंदी में अर्थ
जो वानर मेरे लिए वीरता से लड़े और यमलोक चले गए, वे सब फिर से जीवन पाकर उठ खड़े हों।
इंद्र ने वर माँगने को कहा, तो राम ने अपने लिए कुछ नहीं माँगा, बस अपने वीर साथियों का जीवन। अच्छा नेता याद रखता है कि जीत की कीमत किसने चुकाई।
