sattvabhijanasampannah sanukrosho jitendriyah
kritajnah satyavadee cha raja loke maheeyate
सत्त्वाभिजनसम्पन्नः सानुक्रोशो जितेन्द्रियः।
कृतज्ञः सत्यवादी च राजा लोके महीयते॥
A king who is strong in character, of good birth, compassionate, self-controlled, grateful and truthful is honoured in the world.
What it means
Lakshmana reminds Sugriva what earns lasting respect. It isn't wealth or power alone, but kindness, self-control, gratitude and honesty. These make anyone admired, king or not.हिंदी में अर्थ
