Valmiki Ramayana 4.26.9 meaning

alam veera vyatham gatva na tvam shochitum arhasi shochato hy-avaseedanti sarvartha viditam hi te

Enough of this agony, brave one; you should not grieve. You know well that everything slips away from those who keep grieving.

What it means
Lakshmana sees Rama sleepless with longing for Sita. Endless worry and sorrow quietly sabotage the very goals we care about. Feel it, then turn the energy back toward what can be done.

Spoken by Lakshmana.
