tad enam visrij-anaryam kshatradharm-ashritam matim
dharmam ashraya ma taikshnyam madbuddhir anugamyatam
तदेनां विसृजानार्यां क्षत्रधर्माश्रितां मतिम्।
धर्ममाश्रय मा तैक्ष्ण्यं मद्बुद्धिरनुगम्यताम्॥
So give up this harsh, warlike way of thinking. Hold on to dharma, not violence, and follow my judgement.
What it means

इसलिए यह कठोर, युद्ध वाली सोच छोड़ दो। हिंसा नहीं, धर्म का सहारा लो और मेरी बात मानो।
लक्ष्मण राम के हक के लिए लड़ना चाहते थे, पर राम ने उन्हें शांत किया। अन्याय पर क्रोध जल्दी रास्ता दिखाता है, पर समझदारी मूल्यों को बचाती है।
