A loincloth torn into a hundred pieces, a quilt just as worn, no worries, food begged without expecting anything, sleep in a cremation ground or forest, free to wander, a mind always calm, steady in the great celebration of yoga: if all this is yours, what use is ruling the three worlds?

What it means
A worry-free, calm and steady mind is worth more than any empire. You do not need to give up everything, but notice how much of your peace you trade for status and possessions.

Spoken by Bhartrihari.
