In Kashi, eating in gardens is a feast, the hardest austerity is natural, a loincloth is fine clothing, wandering for alms is an ornament, and even approaching death feels like a blessing. How strange that wise people leave such a Kashi to live anywhere else!

What it means
In the right place and mindset, simplicity feels rich and even death loses its terror. Seek out places and communities where your values feel natural and your fears grow smaller.

Spoken by Bhartrihari.
