कदा वाराणस्याममरतटिनीरोधसि वसन्वसानः कौपीनं शिरसि निदधानोऽञ्जलिपुटम् अये गौरीनाथ त्रिपुरहरशम्भो त्रिनयन प्रसीदेति क्रोशन्निमिषमिव नेष्यामि दिवसान्॥

When will I live in Varanasi on the bank of the heavenly river, wearing only a loincloth, my folded hands raised above my head, crying 'O Lord of Gauri, destroyer of the three cities, Shambhu, three-eyed one, have mercy!', passing my days as if they were a blink?

What it means

When the heart is fully absorbed in love and prayer, time seems to fly. That kind of wholehearted devotion, to God or to anything meaningful, makes days feel full instead of long.

कब मैं वाराणसी में गंगा के किनारे रहूँगा, केवल लँगोटी पहने, सिर पर जुड़े हाथ रखे, 'हे गौरीनाथ, त्रिपुरारी, शम्भो, त्रिनेत्र, कृपा करो!' पुकारते हुए, दिनों को पलक झपकने जैसा बिताऊँगा?

जब मन प्रेम और प्रार्थना में पूरी तरह डूबा हो, तो समय उड़ता सा लगता है। ईश्वर या किसी सार्थक चीज़ के प्रति ऐसा पूरा समर्पण दिनों को लंबा नहीं, भरा-पूरा बनाता है।
