Is a lovely mansion not good to live in? Is music not pleasant? Is being with someone dear as life not a delight? Yes, but the wise saw it all as unsteady as a lamp flame flickering in the breeze of a moth's wings, and so they went to the forest.

What it means
The wise do not leave comfort because it is bad, but because they see how fragile it is. You may not move to a forest, but you can choose to build your peace on something steadier than what flickers.

Spoken by Bhartrihari.
