You gained riches that fulfil every wish; so what? You placed your foot on the heads of your enemies; so what? You pleased your loved ones with wealth; so what? Your body lasted for an age; so what?

What it means
This verse asks the hardest question: after every goal is met, then what? Wealth, victory and long life are not the final answer. Keep asking 'so what?' until you find what truly fulfils you.

Spoken by Bhartrihari.
