मोहं मार्जय तामुपार्जय रतिं चन्द्रार्धचूडामणौ चेतः स्वर्गतरङ्गिणीतटभुवामासङ्गमङ्गीकुरु को वा वीचिषु बुद्बुदेषु च तडिल्लेखासु च श्रीषु च ज्वालाग्रेषु च पन्नगेषु सुहृद्वर्गेषु च प्रत्ययः॥

Mind, wipe away delusion and grow your love for Shiva, who wears the half-moon. Make your home on the banks of the heavenly Ganga. Who can trust waves, bubbles, flashes of lightning, wealth, tips of flames, snakes, or even circles of friends?

हे मन, मोह को पोंछ डालो और अर्धचंद्र धारण करने वाले शिव में प्रेम बढ़ाओ। स्वर्ग की नदी गंगा के किनारों से जुड़ जाओ। लहरों, बुलबुलों, बिजली की रेखाओं, धन, आग की लपटों, साँपों और मित्र-मंडली पर भी कौन भरोसा कर सकता है?

पैसा, मूड और दोस्तों का घेरा भी लहरों और लपटों की तरह बदलते हैं। अपने जीवन की नींव किसी गहरी, स्थिर चीज़ पर रखो, जैसे आस्था, मूल्य और भीतरी साधना।
