क्षणं बालो भूत्वा क्षणमपि युवा कामरसिकः क्षणं वित्तैर्हीनः क्षणमपि च सम्पूर्णविभवः जराजीर्णैरङ्गैर्नट इव वलीमण्डिततनूर्नरः संसारान्ते विशति यमधानीयवनिकाम्॥

For a moment a child, for a moment a passionate youth, for a moment poor, for a moment rich. Then, with limbs worn by age and a body covered in wrinkles, a person, like an actor at the end of the show, slips behind the curtain of death.

What it means

Life is a series of roles: child, youth, struggler, achiever, elder. None of them is the whole of you. Play each role well, but do not cling to any, because the curtain will fall.

जीवन भूमिकाओं की श्रृंखला है: बच्चा, जवान, संघर्ष करने वाला, सफल, बुज़ुर्ग। इनमें से कोई भी पूरे तुम नहीं हो। हर भूमिका अच्छे से निभाओ, पर किसी से चिपको मत।
