A human life is at most a hundred years. Half of it goes in night and sleep. Of the other half, half goes in childhood and old age. The rest passes in sickness, separation, sorrow and serving others. In a life as restless as a wave, where is happiness for anyone?

What it means
Do the math on your life and the truly free, healthy, aware time is surprisingly small. That is not a reason for despair but for focus: spend those precious hours on what you value most.

Spoken by Bhartrihari.
