This life is as shaky as a drop of water on a lotus leaf. For its sake, what have we not done, losing all sense? In front of the rich, whose minds are numb with the drunkenness of wealth, we shamelessly committed the sin of boasting about ourselves.

यह जीवन कमल के पत्ते पर पड़ी पानी की बूँद जैसा अस्थिर है। इसके लिए विवेक खोकर हमने क्या नहीं किया? धन के नशे में सुध-बुध खोए अमीरों के सामने बेशर्मी से अपनी ही तारीफ़ करने का पाप तक किया।
असुरक्षा में हम ऐसे लोगों के आगे खुद को बेचने लगते हैं जो सुन भी नहीं रहे। जीवन इतना छोटा और नाज़ुक है कि उसे घमंडी लोगों से ध्यान माँगने में मत गँवाओ।
