We stay painfully cramped in the womb. In youth, enjoyment is spoiled by the pain of separation from loved ones. Old age is mocked and not kind either. O people, tell me, if there is even a little happiness anywhere in this worldly life!

गर्भ में तंग होकर कष्ट से रहना पड़ता है। जवानी में प्रियजन के बिछोह के दुख से सुख भी कड़वा हो जाता है। बुढ़ापा उपहास का पात्र है और वह भी अच्छा नहीं। अरे लोगो, बताओ, इस संसार में थोड़ा सा भी सुख कहीं है?
जीवन के हर पड़ाव का अपना दुख है। इसे मान लेने से यह उम्मीद छूटती है कि अगला दौर परफ़ेक्ट होगा। शांति सही दौर के इंतज़ार में नहीं, इसी दौर में अर्थ खोजने में है।
