Fruit can be picked freely, without effort, in every forest. Cool, sweet water flows in holy rivers everywhere. Soft beds of tender vines and leaves are there. Even so, poor-spirited people suffer at the doors of the rich.

What it means
What we truly need is often simple and freely available. Much of our suffering comes from chasing what others own. Notice what is already enough in your life before you knock on another door.

Spoken by Bhartrihari.
