dhairyam yasya pita kshama cha jananee shantish chiram gehinee satyam mitram idam daya cha bhaginee bhrata manahsanyamah shayya bhoomitalam dishopi vasanam jnan-amritam bhojanam hy ete yasya kutumbino vada sakhe kasmad bhayam yoginah

धैर्यं यस्य पिता क्षमा च जननी शान्तिश्चिरं गेहिनी सत्यं मित्रमिदं दया च भगिनी भ्राता मनःसंयमः शय्या भूमितलं दिशोऽपि वसनं ज्ञानामृतं भोजनं ह्येते यस्य कुटुम्बिनो वद सखे कस्माद्भयं योगिनः॥

Courage is his father, forgiveness his mother, lasting peace his life partner, truth his friend, kindness his sister, and self-control his brother. The bare ground is his bed, the directions his clothes, knowledge his nourishing food. Tell me, friend, with such a family, what could a yogi fear?
