In that great kingdom of the spirit, even ruling the three worlds tastes flat. Having reached it, do not take pleasure in arranging seats, clothes and honours. There is one supreme joy, ever rising and unfolding, whose taste makes even the kingdom of the three worlds feel dull.

What it means
Once you taste real inner peace, chasing status symbols like titles, seats of honour and fancy clothes feels empty. Do not trade that deeper joy for small displays of importance.

Spoken by Bhartrihari.
