महाशय्या पृथ्वी विपुलमुपधानं भुजलता वितानं चाकाशं व्यजनमनुकूलोऽयमनिलः शरच्चन्द्रो दीपो विरतिवनितासङ्गमुदितः सुखी शान्तः शेते मुनिरतनुभूतिर्नृप इव॥

The earth is his grand bed, his arm a broad pillow, the sky his canopy, the gentle breeze his fan, the autumn moon his lamp. Happy in the company of detachment, his companion, the sage sleeps peacefully, rich beyond measure, like a king.

Someone with a peaceful mind can feel like royalty with almost nothing. Comfort is not only about what you own, but about how free and content your mind is when you lie down at night.

हिंदी में अर्थ

पृथ्वी उसका बड़ा बिस्तर है, बाँह चौड़ा तकिया, आकाश उसका चँदोवा, अनुकूल हवा पंखा, शरद का चाँद दीपक। वैराग्य रूपी संगिनी के साथ प्रसन्न, अपार वैभव वाला मुनि राजा की तरह सुख और शांति से सोता है।

शांत मन वाला लगभग कुछ न होते हुए भी राजा जैसा महसूस कर सकता है। आराम सिर्फ़ चीज़ों से नहीं, इस बात से है कि रात को लेटते समय मन कितना आज़ाद और संतुष्ट है।
