Taittiriya Upanishad 1.11.3 meaning
shraddhaya deyam ashraddhayadeyam shriya deyam
hriya deyam bhiya deyam sanvida deyam
श्रद्धया देयम् । अश्रद्धयाऽदेयम् । श्रिया देयम् ।
ह्रिया देयम् । भिया देयम् । संविदा देयम् ॥
Give with faith; do not give without it. Give generously, in proportion to what you have. Give with humility. Give with care. Give with understanding.
What it means
How you give matters as much as what you give. Give sincerely, give according to your means, give without showing off, and give thoughtfully, so that the gift actually helps the person receiving it.हिंदी में अर्थ
श्रद्धा से दो; बिना श्रद्धा के मत दो। अपनी सामर्थ्य के अनुसार खुले हाथ से दो। विनम्रता से दो। सावधानी से दो। समझदारी से दो।
क्या देते हैं, उतना ही ज़रूरी है कि कैसे देते हैं। सच्चे मन से, अपनी हैसियत के हिसाब से, बिना दिखावे के और सोच-समझकर दें, ताकि दान सच में काम आए।
