Subhashitas Subhashita 498 meaning

There is nothing left for you to gain that you have not already gained. Your only reason for being born and acting in the world is to bless and help it.

What it means
The gods say this to Vishnu before he is born as Rama. It is also a beautiful ideal for us: once our needs are met, the best reason to keep working is simply to make life better for others.

Spoken by Kālidāsa.
