As Shakuntala leaves, the deer let the grass fall from their mouths, the peacocks stop dancing, and the vines drop their pale leaves as if shedding tears.
What it means
Love you give to living things comes back. Pets, gardens and even neighbourhoods seem to miss us when we go. Be the kind of presence whose absence is felt, even by the deer and the vines.
Spoken by Kālidāsa.
