subhagasalil-avagahah patalasansarga-surabhivanavatah prachchayasulabhanidra divasah parinamaramaneeyah

These summer days are made for pleasant dips in the water; the forest breezes are fragrant from the patala flowers; sleep comes easily in the deep shade; and the evenings are delightful.

What it means
Even the hottest season has its small pleasures: a cool bath, a shady nap, a sweet evening. Instead of complaining about the heat, find the gifts hidden inside it. Every season has some.

Spoken by Kālidāsa.
