Scorched by a forest fire, elephants, wild oxen and lions forget their enmity and come together like friends. Fleeing the flames, they rush out of the thicket and enter the river with its wide sandy banks.
What it means
In a real crisis, old rivalries suddenly look small. Floods, pandemics and fires often bring out this shared humanity. Why wait for disaster? Drop needless feuds now and stand together.
Spoken by Kālidāsa.
