Subhashitas Subhashita 465 meaning

trishakulaish chatakapakshinam kulaih prayachitas toyabhar-avalambinah prayanti mandam bahudharavarshino balahakah shrotramanoharasvanah

Begged for water by flocks of thirsty chataka birds, the clouds hang low, heavy with rain. They move slowly, pouring down in many streams, with a rumble that delights the ear.

What it means
Kalidasa's monsoon is generous: heavy clouds that slow down to give to those who ask. A full life looks similar. When you have plenty, move a little slower and let it fall where it is needed.

Spoken by Kālidāsa.
