Having spent some months on that mountain, separated from his beloved, so thin that his golden bracelet slipped from his wrist, the lover saw on the first day of Ashadha a cloud hugging the peak, like an elephant playfully butting a riverbank.

What it means
The first monsoon cloud has meant longing in India ever since. When the rains arrive and you miss someone, you are part of a feeling poets have shared for centuries. Send a message; let the cloud carry it.

Spoken by Kālidāsa.
