Subhashitas Subhashita 460 meaning

anantaratnaprabhavasya yasya himam na saubhagyavilopi jatam eko hi dosho gunasannipate nimajjat-eendoh kiraneshv-ivankah

The Himalaya is the source of countless gems, and its snow does not spoil its glory. A single flaw sinks out of sight in a mass of virtues, just as the spot on the moon is lost in its rays.

What it means
No person, place or thing is perfect. When someone has many good qualities, let their one flaw fade into the background, the way we still love the moon. Apply the same kindness to yourself.

Spoken by Kālidāsa.
