Subhashitas Subhashita 437 meaning

na bhootapoorvam na kadapi varta hemnah kurango na kadapi drishtah tath-api trishna raghunandanasya vinashakale vipareetabuddhih

A golden deer had never existed, no one had ever heard of one or seen one. Yet even Rama longed for it. When ruin is near, the mind turns upside down.

What it means
If even Rama could chase an impossible golden deer, any of us can. When something seems too good to be true, that is exactly the moment to slow down, ask questions and protect what really matters.
