Subhashitas Subhashita 413 meaning

abhyasena sthiram chittam abhyasen-anilachyutih abhyasena par-anando hy-abhyasen-atmadarshanam

Through practice the mind becomes steady; through practice the breath is mastered. Through practice comes the highest joy, and through practice one sees the true Self.

What it means
A calm mind is not a gift some people are born with; it is built, one sitting at a time. Ten honest minutes of breathing or prayer each day will do more than one dramatic retreat a year.
