Subhashitas Subhashita 41 meaning

Common sense is better than mere learning; good judgement ranks above book knowledge. Those who lack sense come to ruin, like the scholars in the story who brought a dead lion back to life.

What it means
In the old tale, three learned men revived a lion, and it ate them. Knowing how to do something is not the same as knowing whether you should. Always pair your skills with sound judgement.
