नागुणी गुणिनं वेत्ति गुणी गुणिषु मत्सरी ।
गुणी च गुणरागी च विरलः सरलो जनः ॥
One without virtue cannot recognise virtue in others; the virtuous are often jealous of other virtuous people. Rare indeed is the straightforward person who is both virtuous and loves virtue in others.
