अतिकुपिता अपि सुजना योगेन मृदूभवन्ति न तु नीचाः ।
हेम्नः कठिनस्यापि द्रवणोपायोऽस्ति न तृणानाम् ॥
Good people, even when very angry, soften with the right approach — but not the base. Even hard gold can be melted, but there is no way to melt straw.

सज्जन बहुत क्रोधित होकर भी उचित उपाय से नरम हो जाते हैं, नीच नहीं। कठोर सोना भी पिघल सकता है, पर तिनके को पिघलाने का कोई उपाय नहीं।
क्रोध सबको आता है। फर्क यह है कि आप तक बात पहुँच सकती है या नहीं। सज्जन सोने की तरह सच्ची माफ़ी या शांत शब्द से पिघल जाते हैं। ऐसे बनिए जो पिघल सके।
