Daily Prayers & Stotras Prātaḥ Smaraṇa meaning
samudravasane devi parvatastanamandite
vishnupatni namas tubhyam padasparsham kshamasva me
O Goddess Earth, clothed in oceans, your bosom adorned with mountains, consort of Vishnu—I bow to you. Please forgive me for touching you with my feet.
What it means
Said before stepping out of bed, it treats the earth as a living mother. Starting the day with respect for the ground beneath you is a small, beautiful habit of humility and care for nature. How it helps in real life
- Every day: Rolling out of bed straight into emails? Pause, touch the floor with your hand, and take one grateful breath first.
- Helping others: Your society park is full of plastic after the Holi party. Gather two neighbours and clean it up this Sunday morning.
