Daily Prayers & Stotras Prātaḥ Smaraṇa meaning
karagre vasate lakshmeeh karamadhye sarasvatee
karamoole tu govindah prabhate karadarshanam
At the tips of the fingers lives Lakshmi, in the middle of the palm Saraswati, and at the base of the hand Govinda. So, in the morning, look at your hands.
What it means
The first thing many Indian families do on waking: look at their own hands. Prosperity, knowledge and grace are all within what you do with them today. Start the day with that confidence. How it helps in real life
- Every day: Before reaching for your phone at 6am, look at your palms for ten seconds and decide what these hands will build today.
- At work: Feeling stuck in a dead-end job? Look at your hands: Lakshmi, Saraswati, Govinda. Spend one hour today learning a new skill.
