Shvetashvatara Upanishad 3.20 meaning

anor aneeyan mahato maheeyan atma guhayam nihitosya jantoh tam akratuh pashyati veetashoko dhatuh prasadan mahimanam eesham

Smaller than the smallest, greater than the greatest, the Self is hidden in the heart of every creature. One free from selfish striving sees it, by the grace of the Creator, and is freed from sorrow.

What it means
Sorrow eases when we stop grasping so hard. The verse links freedom from grief to letting go of selfish striving, and to grace, something that arrives when we become quiet enough to receive it.
