Shiva Mahimna Stotra 14 meaning
O three-eyed one, moved by pity for gods and demons terrified that the universe would suddenly end, you swallowed the poison. The dark stain it left on your throat only adds to your beauty. Even a scar is admirable in one devoted to removing the world's fear.
हिंदी में अर्थ
हे त्रिनेत्र, अचानक सृष्टि नष्ट होने के डर से काँपते देवों और असुरों पर दया करके तुमने विष पी लिया। उससे कंठ पर बना नीला दाग़ तुम्हारी शोभा ही बढ़ाता है। जो दुनिया का डर मिटाने में लगा हो, उसका दाग़ भी प्रशंसा के योग्य है।
शिव ने दूसरों को बचाने के लिए विष पिया और उसका निशान गर्व से धारण किया। दूसरों की रक्षा या मदद में मिले घाव कमी नहीं हैं। वे प्रेम और साहस के निशान हैं।
