Ten-headed Ravana easily made the three worlds free of rivals, and still his arms itched for battle. O destroyer of the three cities, that power was simply the result of his firm devotion, when he offered his own heads like a row of lotuses at your feet.

What it means
Even Ravana's strength came from sincere devotion. Total commitment brings real power. But as the next verse shows, power without humility turns into ruin; how we use our gifts matters.

Spoken by Pushpadanta.
