dva suparna sayuja sakhaya samanam vriksham pari shasvajate tayor anyah pippalam svadv-atty-anashnann anyo abhi chakasheeti

Two birds, close companions and friends, cling to the same tree. One of them eats the sweet fruit; the other eats nothing and simply watches.

What it means
A famous image of two sides of you: one chasing pleasures and pains, the other a calm witness. When life feels overwhelming, step back into the watcher. That quiet observer is also you.

Spoken by Dīrghatamas.
