Rigveda 1.89.8 meaning

bhadram karnebhih shrinuyama deva bhadram pashyem-akshabhir yajatrah sthirair angais tushtuvansas tanoobhir vyashema devahitam yad ayuh

O gods, may we hear only what is good with our ears, and see only what is good with our eyes. With steady limbs and healthy bodies, praising you, may we live the full life the gods have given us.

What it means
What we hear and watch shapes who we become. This prayer asks for a healthy body and clean input for the mind, so that the years we are given are lived well, not just lived.

Spoken by Gotama Rāhūgaṇa.
