Ramcharitmanas 7.22 meaning
dand jatinha kar bhed jahan nartak nritya samaj
jeetahu manahi sunia as ramachandra ken raj
In Ramachandra's kingdom, the word 'staff' (danda) was found only in an ascetic's hand, and 'division' (bheda) only among dancers' steps. And 'conquer' was heard only in the phrase 'conquer your mind'.
What it means
A playful verse: in an ideal society, nobody needs punishment, no one divides people, and the only war is against one's own mind. That inner conquest is the real victory. How it helps in real life
- When you are angry: Determined to win the argument with your in-laws at any cost? Win against your own temper instead; say less and leave the room calmly.
- Phone & habits: Today's biggest battle is the urge to check your phone every five minutes. Put it face down and win one focused hour.
Spoken by Tulsidas.
