राम दूत मैं मातु जानकी। सत्य सपथ करुनानिधान की।।
यह मुद्रिका मातु मैं आनी। दीन्हि राम तुम्ह कहँ सहिदानी।।
Mother Janaki, I am Rama's messenger — I swear this truly by the Lord, the ocean of compassion. Mother, I have brought this ring; Rama gave it to me as a token for you.
What it means

हे माता जानकी, मैं राम का दूत हूँ, करुणानिधान की सच्ची शपथ खाकर कहता हूँ। हे माता, यह अँगूठी मैं लाया हूँ, इसे राम ने आपके लिए निशानी के रूप में दिया है।
लंका में अकेली और डरी हुई सीता यह सुनकर जानती हैं कि उन्हें भुलाया नहीं गया। दुख में किसी के लिए 'तुम्हें याद किया गया है' सबसे बड़ा सहारा होता है।
