Ramcharitmanas 3.31.5 meaning
parahit bas jinha ke man maheen tinha kahun jag durlabh kachu naheen
tanu taji tat jahu mam dhama deun kah tumha pooranakama
Nothing in this world is out of reach for those whose minds are devoted to the good of others. Leave this body, dear father, and go to my abode — what can I give you, who already has everything?
What it means
Rama says this to the dying vulture Jatayu, who gave his life trying to save Sita. A life spent helping others lacks nothing. Selfless courage earns a reward that no possession can match. How it helps in real life
- Helping others: An accident on the highway and everyone's filming? Be the one who calls the ambulance and waits with the injured person.
- When you are worried: Scared to speak up while a colleague is being harassed? Report it today anyway; standing up for someone is never wasted.
