subh aru asubh karam anuharee ees dei phalu hridayan bicharee
karai jo karam pav phal soee nigam neeti asi kah sabu koee
सुभ अरु असुभ करम अनुहारी। ईस देइ फलु हृदयँ बिचारी॥
करइ जो करम पाव फल सोई। निगम नीति असि कह सबु कोई॥
The Lord, weighing everything in his heart, gives fruit according to good and bad deeds. Whoever does an action reaps its result; this is the rule that scripture and everyone repeats.

ईश्वर मन में विचार करके शुभ-अशुभ कर्मों के अनुसार फल देते हैं। जो जैसा कर्म करता है, वैसा फल पाता है; वेद-नीति और सब लोग यही कहते हैं।
अपने कर्मों के फल से कोई बच नहीं सकता। यह डर नहीं, भरोसा है: तुम्हारा हर अच्छा काम भी एक बीज है जो ज़रूर उगेगा।
