Bharata said: 'Mother Ganga, your sands give every happiness and are a wish-granting cow for your servants. With folded hands I ask only this boon: simple, natural love for the feet of Sita and Rama.'
What it means
Bharata could have asked for the kingdom; he asked only for love. What you pray for reveals who you are; choose wishes that make you better, not just richer. How it helps in real life
- Every day: At the morning diya, instead of asking for a raise, ask to be a little more patient today. Then watch for one chance to practise it.
- Big decisions: Writing your New Year goals? Next to 'buy a car', add one about who you want to become, like calling your parents every week.
Spoken by Bharata.
