Niti Shataka 76 meaning
Milk gave all its qualities to the water that mixed with it. When water saw milk suffering from the heat, it sacrificed itself into the fire. Milk, seeing its friend's trouble, rose up to jump into the fire too, and calmed down only when water was added again. Such is the friendship of the good.
हिंदी में अर्थ
दूध ने अपने में मिले पानी को अपने सारे गुण दे दिए। दूध को आँच में तपता देख पानी ने खुद को आग में होम दिया। मित्र की विपत्ति देखकर दूध भी आग में कूदने को उफन पड़ा, और फिर पानी मिलने पर ही शांत हुआ। सज्जनों की मित्रता ऐसी ही होती है।
उबलते दूध का सुंदर चित्र: पानी उसे बचाने के लिए भाप बनता है, और दूध दुख में उफनता है जब तक पानी न मिले। सच्चे दोस्त एक-दूसरे को अपना सबसे अच्छा देते हैं और मुश्किल में साथ खड़े रहते हैं।
