Niti Shataka 5 meaning

labheta sikatasu tailam api yatnatah peedayan pibech cha mrigatrishnikasu salilam pipas-arditah kvachid api paryatan chashavishanam asadayen na tu pratinivishta-moorkhachittam aradhayet

With enough effort you might squeeze oil from sand, a thirsty man might drink water from a mirage, and a wanderer might even find a rabbit's horn. But you cannot satisfy the mind of a stubborn fool.

What it means
Impossible things might happen sooner than a closed mind opening by force. You are not responsible for convincing everyone. Say your piece kindly, then let go and move on in peace.

Spoken by Bhartrihari.
