Mundaka Upanishad 3.1.8 meaning

na chakshusha grihyate n-api vacha n-anyair devais tapasa karmana va jnanaprasadena vishuddhasattvas tatas tu tam pashyate nishkalam dhyayamanah

It is not grasped by the eye, nor by speech, nor by the other senses, nor by austerity or rituals. When the mind becomes clear through the grace of knowledge, then, in meditation, one sees that undivided One.

What it means
You cannot force inner peace by effort alone, like pushing a door that opens inward. A clear, quiet mind lets it reveal itself. Clean the window, and the light comes in by itself.

Spoken by Angiras.
