Mundaka Upanishad 3.1.6 meaning
satyam eva jayate n-anritam satyena pantha vitato devayanah
yen-akramanty rishayo hy aptakama yatra tat satyasya paramam nidhanam
Truth alone wins, not falsehood. By truth the divine path is laid out, the path the sages walk with every desire fulfilled, reaching the place where the highest treasure of truth is kept.
What it means
India's national motto comes from here. Lies may win a round, but truth wins the journey. Every honest choice, even a costly one, builds a road that leads somewhere worth reaching.
