Mundaka Upanishad 2.2.4 meaning
pranavo dhanuh sharo hy-atma brahma tal lakshyam uchyate
apramattena veddhavyam sharavat tanmayo bhavet
प्रणवो धनुः शरो ह्यात्मा ब्रह्म तल्लक्ष्यमुच्यते।
अप्रमत्तेन वेद्धव्यं शरवत्तन्मयो भवेत्॥
Om is the bow, the self is the arrow, and Brahman is called the target. It must be struck with full attention. Like an arrow buried in its mark, become one with it.
What it means
A distracted archer always misses. Bring your whole attention to what matters, and let yourself become absorbed in it. In meditation, in work or in love, full presence is what hits the mark.हिंदी में अर्थ
ॐ धनुष है, आत्मा बाण है, और ब्रह्म को लक्ष्य कहा गया है। उसे पूरी सावधानी से भेदना चाहिए। जैसे बाण लक्ष्य में समा जाता है, वैसे ही उसमें एक हो जाओ।
भटका हुआ धनुर्धर हमेशा चूकता है। जो ज़रूरी है, उस पर पूरा ध्यान लगाओ और उसमें डूब जाओ। ध्यान, काम या प्रेम, हर जगह पूरी उपस्थिति ही लक्ष्य भेदती है।
